Ah, Surfers Paradise! I love Surfers Paradise and in fact it is where I met my wife back in 1984. (Yes, I’m old.) Here’s the thing about it… it is a tourist town. So, if you don’t like touristy stuff, well, too bad, get over it, that is what you get at Surfers! You can hang out in town, hang out at the beach, get a tan, go surfing, hit the bars or just sleep your day away so you are ready for the night life! (No, don’t do that.)
If you get bored by all of that awesomeness, there is all kinds of other stuff to do on the Gold Coast. If you are there in the Spring, you can go whale watching. If you like theme parks, you can go to Movie World or Sea World, or perhaps DreamWorld if you like rides. Oh, almost forgot, if you like to get wet, you can go to Wet n Wild and get as wet as you can handle. None of this stuff is cheap, however, but you can buy discounted passes at any of the parks mentioned so click here for (sort of) discounted theme park tickets.
