Melbourne is a huge city that has grown dramatically over the years since I lived nearby. It’s a city that means business, they don’t screw around in Melbourne. I don’t mean that in a bad way, it is just that the place has a serious case of progress. It’s good. If you go there, I’d suggest forgetting about everything and just wander around for a few days and take it all in. The trams (see below) are great as is their train system. Buses too, for that matter. I love Melbourne and can’t wait to go back. Oh, to my American friends, it is Mel-bun not Mel-born.
